How to connect to the Rust One server through Steam
Connect to Rust One by launching Rust through Steam and copying the current address for the console command from the public server page.
To connect to [KZ] Rust One, launch Rust through Steam, open the in-game console, and use client.connect with the address copied from the server page. The address is deliberately not fixed in this article: the site reads it from validated public runtime configuration.
Prepare Steam and Rust
Open Steam with your account, make sure Rust is installed, and allow any pending game update to finish. Start Rust from the Steam library and wait for the main menu. This method uses the console already provided by the game; it does not require another program or a change to client files.
Open the server page in your browser. Its card displays the current public connection address. Use the copy button. If the browser rejects clipboard access, the page selects the visible value and provides a localized instruction so that you can copy it manually. This keeps the guide useful without saving a potentially stale address in repository content.
Run the connection command
Return to Rust and press F1 to open the console. Type client.connect, add one space, paste the address you just copied, and press Enter. Rust will begin connecting to the server. Do not substitute an address from an old message or an unrelated list; use the value currently displayed by the server card.
If the connection does not begin
First confirm that Steam has finished updating Rust. Reopen the public server card and copy the displayed value again to avoid missing or extra characters. The status page may report that data is temporarily unavailable. If that happens, do not guess a replacement address; wait and try the public page again later.
Before your first map cycle, read the server rules and the explanation of Vanilla x1. They cover standard progression, the 4500 Procedural Map, capacity for 150 players, and the conduct expected from everyone who joins.
